The Watershed

When I look at this photo, it gives me a sense of peace and happiness. The reason is because the picture shows how the peacefulness of the watershed and/or nature in general can arouse positive feelings in people. Also, when I look at this photo, I feel like I am connected to nature.

Dodging the Wetlands

This farmer has taken a lot of time to seed, spray, and swath, and will soon combine around these wetlands. He could drain them, saving time and increasing yields, but has not. There is so much value for humanity, and our ecological community, that these wetlands stay intact. Now if we only paid the farmer for his time protecting something that is so important to us all.

Water

Water is pure, Water is natural

Water is healthy, and Water can help us all

Water is simple, Water is free

Water can help the live, The lives of you and me

By creating we think, by living we learn

By creating we think, by living we learn

“How many people think twice about a leaf? Yet the leaf is the chief product and phenomenon of Life: this is a green world, with animals comparatively few and small, and all dependent upon the leaves. By leaves we live.

But growth seems slow: and people are all out for immediate results, like immediate votes or immediate money. A garden takes years and years to grow – ideas also take time to grow, and while a sower knows when his corn will ripen, the sowing of ideas is, as yet, a far less certain affair.”

Sir Patrick Geddes (1854-1932)

Moose

This is a great picture of moose that were calling our back quarter home. It is great to see this sort of wildlife in the area as they are also a good indicator of the health of an area and to show that the habitat they need is still around.
